DOES DIFFERENCE IN RELIGION HAS ROLE TO PLAY IN MARRIAGE?
Religion is a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny or an institution to express belief in a divine power.This definition was quoted as defined by Advanced English Dictionary.How does it interfere with marriage?It start from what we believe as individual and how passionate we practice it.Level of understanding and emotional control played an important role in such relationship.Have witnessed a scenario where one of my friends had to separate from his wife of ten (10)years because of difference in religion.They eventually separated after two issues based on irreconcilable differences associated with difference in religion.
Intending husband and wife should be able to satisfy tolerance index or gauge emotions before getting married.Once either of the partner is noticed to be extremist in religion,inter-religious marriage cannot work out smoothly as expected from the union.
Is better to marry from same faith,same religion for better understanding and accommodation of each other's beliefs.Inter-religious marriage may cause division among the children because there will be a bias of faith where there is no love. Observing religious obligation is very important to practitioner and require tolerance and understanding of other partner about what to do in corporation and acceptability of do's and dont's of partners religion.With my survey,political class or simply politicians don't see it as an issue.Many clever politicians see it as a positive ingredient to increase their political acceptability or curry favor in the eyes of people of different faith.Few people are moderate in accommodating partner of different religion in their life and live peacefully.People in this category see something beyond religion.They are rare and posses heart of Gold because they see beyond boundaries of religion.They posses extraordinary quality traits and this made them to project another faith beyond religion which is LOVE.
Love super cede all things in their thinking,way of life and association with society at large.I mean class of people that considers love of their family,wife and the children above inherited faith of religion.Above all and to cap it all,religious books even supported it that the greatest thing to do for others or to one another is love.And if LOVE is the greatest,we should consider it as the greatest.Marriages of people of different faith or believe can work out alive and good if we consider LOVE as the greatest.But if one has not grown to reach that level of understanding,I suggest people of same faith should marry each other.In recap,LOVE is the greatest of all things.
